Name: Aimee Riche
Position: U.S. Payroll Manager

How long have you worked at eTelecare? 18 months

Why did you choose to work for eTelecare? I was interested in a challenging position.  I knew based on feedback and coming in as a temporary employee initially that eTelecare needed checks and balances as well as better communications to our employees.  I was told upon being hired that the payroll department needed a lot of work and it was not going to be an easy task.  After 9 months the US Payroll Department was voted the best support function in the U.S..  That was great news and I felt an overwhelming sense of accomplishment.

Out of all the benefits provided here, which are most important to you? Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance since healthcare is so expensive these days.  I also enjoy the tuition reimbursement since I am still a full time student.

What is your favorite part of your job? Interacting with all employees and continually reminding them we are here to help them.  I feel payroll is one of the most important functions in a company since it is 65% of all expenses.  An employee’s paycheck is what they have earned so my job is to do everything in my power to make sure it is right the first time.

Did you start in this position? I did start in this position.  I was the Payroll Manager in my previous job working for a call center company for 3 years.  I learned a tremendous amount about the turnover and how to keep employees happy.  One was to pay them correctly and on time.  I have 9 years payroll experience starting at Discount Tire’s corporate office back in 1998 as a payroll processor.  I am continuing my education majoring in Accountancy Program at ASU West School of Management.  After that I will continue on to my Master’s degree and eventually obtain my CPA.  After that I would love to see what eTelecare holds for me.
